Radxa Rock Pi 4 B Computer
Radxa ROCK 4 is a Single Board Computer (SBC) with the same form factor in terms of dimension and mounting holes as Raspberry Pi 3 and Raspberry Pi 4. There are 7 different ROCK 4 models and the video is about ROCK 4 B, previously known as Rock Pi 4 B.
Radxa ROCK 4 comes with 64-bit ARM Rockchip RK3399 SoC featuring 6 core CPU in total: dual-core Cortex-A72 and quad-core ARM Cortex-A53. It also offers ARM Mali-T860MP4 GPU with OpenGL ES1.1/2.0/3.0, OpenCL1.2 and DirectX11.1 support.
There are 2 different versions of model B depending on the RAM. It comes either with 4GB or with 2GB LPDDR4 RAM. Rock 4 model B also includes Gigabit Ethernet LAN interface with PoE support. On the back of Rock 4 B there is a microSD card slot and a M.2 connector that supports up to 2T M.2 NVME SSD.
Rock 4 has a 40-pin headers just like any Raspberry Pi computer model and version that has been released on the market since 2014. However, the advantage of Rock 4 compared to Raspberry Pi single board computers is the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) on pin 26.
There is a board support package (BSP) meta-rockchip layer if you are interested in building your own custom GNU Linux distribution with the Yocto Project and OpenEmbedded. It provides machine rock-pi-4b.
